Next Big Futures, Inc. has announced a new company called Next Big Technologies, which aims to build self-drive cars from scratch.
Next Big’s CEO, Paul D’Andrea, has previously worked on projects like Google’s self-propelled cars, Tesla’s selfdriving car, and Amazon’s selfdrive cars.
D’Andario said that his team has been working on building the self-driven car since early 2016, and has been able to build an actual car from the ground up.
His team is currently working with Tesla, Google, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to make their self-drives.
D’ Andrea told the Associated Press, “It’s like a little engine from scratch, the same way we build the engines for our cars.”
D’ Andario added that his company would be looking to develop self-drivers as soon as the time comes, but that they are looking for a minimum of five years to get their cars built.
It’s unclear what sort of specifications the car will be built on, but it will likely be powered by a combination of a gasoline engine, electric motor, and a battery.
The car could also be equipped with a steering wheel and pedals, as well as a safety belt.
